I'm so happy! I wasn't expecting my Options needles to get here so quickly! I only ordered them a week ago. I did have a little problem, though. I ordered the needle tags and there were two sizes missing and two of another size. I'm waiting for customer service to get back to me about that. And it'd be really cool if they made 16" cables. But, other than that, they're so cool! I love the case, and I got extra pockets! Now, I've got to get to the yarn shop to get the yarn to start my brother's bag.
I still haven't found a decent summer hat pattern for my daughter. But, DH found the color we want it to be, so that's a step. I have a lot of pattern books though, so I may just look through them again. Or, I may venture out and design my own....
Yarn and children...what an interesting combination

I did it!!!!
I've ordered my needles! I'm so excited! And later this month, I get to go to my favorite LYS to buy more yarn! YAY!!!!
I have to remember to buy enough to practice felting and still get my project done. I've never felted before. This should be interesting.

My baby girl...
She's growing up so fast! It seems like just yesterday when she was born, helpless, unable to do anything at all. Now she's 16 months, walking, talking, and beginning potty training. I didn't realize the time went by so fast. I knit her a little sweater and a pair of pants, had them ready for (what's supposed to be) winter and everything. Well, I didn't realize she'd physically grow so quickly. By the time it got cold enough for her to wear what I'd made, she was only able to wear them 3 or 4 times before she outgrew them! She got a pair of shoes in November for her birthday, and by January her feet had already grown TWO SIZES!!!! I knew time moved quickly when kids are growing up because I have stepchildren I've been around since they were four and five (they're 12 and 13 now), but good grief!

Progress!
I've finished knitting the pieces of the first potholder! I'm going to knit all the pieces up before I sew them together. I'm actually having fun with the pattern. It's a knot stitch. At least, I think that's what it's called. I don't really feel like looking it up right now.
I need to find a good all-weather hat pattern for my 16-month-old. She's decided she likes hats now, so my husband wants me to make her one.
I cannot wait for my tax return to come back. I'm so ready to get my Options needles! I've already got my first project ready. I'm making the Knitty messenger bag for my brother. It'll also be my first felted project.
